If you’re ready for a challenge that will help drive forward an industry leading team, we invite you to begin your journey with us.\n\nPay Details:\n\nThe compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience.\n\nSchedule:\nThis is a Monday to Friday, in-office position based at our Victorville location.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nThe responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:\n\nSupport Terminal Managers with Driver safety meetings and provide any necessary information regarding meeting topics.\nEnsure Dispatchers are trained in emergency safety procedures for accident or incident reporting.\nSupport Terminal Managers with identifying, escalating and/or reporting safety hazards and incidents in a timely manner.\nWork with Area Managers and Terminal Managers to assess adverse weather and road conditions that will impact operations and Driver safety.\nPromote a proactive safety culture within service centers and enforce a culture of safety through actions and communications.\nProvides Leadership, Support and Guidance\nSelects, trains, and onboards employees.\nConducts employee engagement and performance management expectations.\nSupports Terminal Managers for Driver engagement and retention initiatives.\nEnsures compliance with Company policies and procedures.\nEstablish employee schedules to ensure appropriate coverage to meet service requirements.\nSupports Terminal Manager in resolving Driver issues and front-line communications.\nEscalates Driver issues to Terminal Manager as appropriate.\nAssists and coaches Dispatchers in the management of driver performance & relationships.\nFacilitates time off approvals for Drivers and makes Terminal Managers aware for scheduling purposes.\nAdditional point of contact for service, operation performance, and non-conformance issues.\nEnsures Dispatch team meets customer expectations for on-time deliveries and associated communications in a prompt and timely manner.\nStrong understanding of customers’ needs and expectations for all day-to-day operational considerations.\nPoint of contact regarding customer and service issues and escalating issues to Terminal Manager as needed.\nStrong understanding of lane profitability and driver capacity with ability to balance competing priorities to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.\nRunning and/or reviewing customer-related reports to ensure ongoing satisfaction, productivity and compliance and escalating issues to Terminal Managers as necessary.\nEstablish communication protocols with customers to focus on service delivery.\nSupport obtaining paperwork for customer billing.\nOversees Order entry, status reporting, exception management and notifications.\nAnalyzes Driver and equipment utilization metrics and ensure utilization is meeting expectations set by Terminal Managers and communicating results and trends as needed.\nWorks in conjunction with Terminal Managers to identify and schedule equipment due for maintenance.\nEscalate equipment issues to the Terminal Manager so they are informed about subsequent fleet planning.\nFollows-up with shop and/or wash equipment being repaired or washed for fleet planning purposes.\nResponsible and accountable for key performance indicators for business dispatched by their team (On-Time Delivery, PDI, RCR, Loaded Mile %, etc.);\nIdentifies opportunities for increased profitability by reviewing reports and metrics and escalating opportunities to Terminal Managers.\nSupports Terminal Managers with daily trip audits, reviewing trip standards, and providing insight and information for terminal’s financial scorecard.\nSupport Sales and Operational teams for onboarding new customers.\nQualifications:\nStrong knowledge of the transportation industry is an asset.\nStrong analytical ability with good judgement.\nProactive and decisive when making decisions.\nStrong communicator with excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.\nWillingness to fill-in for Terminal Manager on a as needed basis.\n3 - 5 years of related experience and/or training.\nExperience using computers and good keyboarding skills,\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite.\nMandatory High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.\nBenefits:\n\nWe invest in our employee’s growth through training and development programs.
