We Do!\nLocation: Tea, SD (right off I-29)\nWork Hours: 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday (40hrs + 5hrs overtime per week)\nExperience: 4+ years of MIG Welding\nPosition Summary:\nThe Welder is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings and specifications.\nResponsibilities:\nAnalyze, read, and interpret blueprints and work instructions to take and/or read measurements to plan layouts and procedures.\nClamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.\nWeld components using welding equipment in various positions like vertical and horizontal.\nMonitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.\nInspect workpieces to verify conformity with quality standards and specifications.\nMonitor the welding process to ensure consistent quality and make adjustments to maintain optimal weld integrity.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of welding equipment, tools, and materials.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n4 years of welding experience\nExperience in the manufacturing industry is desired.\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.\nRequired Skills:\nStrong attention to detail with ability to focus on a given task.\nEnthusiastic about learning new skills and technology.\nEffective time-management tactical approach to work prioritization.\nCommitment to continued development through the DeGeest Strong Standard Program.\nRead, speak, and write the English language.\nGood communication skills.\nBenefits:\nTo better serve our employees, we offer competitive benefits as follows\nPay:\nBonus Programs\nInsurance\nMedical – Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care Account\nDental and Vision Plans\nSTD/LTD and Voluntary Life/AD&D Plans\nInvestments\n401k with a company match\nHolidays/PTO\n9 Paid Holiday, 1 Floating Holiday\nPTO for New Hires\nAdditional Incentives\nSafety glasses and steel toe boots reimbursement\nWork shirts provided by DeGeest\nFree Pizza Wednesdays\nNote: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
