In 2024, we expanded our offerings with the acquisition of Daniels Plows, further strengthening our commitment to high-quality snow removal solutions.We are currently seeking aToolroom Supervisorwith strong experience inmanufacturing environments.This position is located in Mankato, MN.Toolroom Supervisor Summary\r\nThis position will manage the daily operations, maintenance, repair, and inventory of manufacturing tools, mods, fixtures, and jigs. Will lead the toolroom team to ensure equipment is ready for production, maintain safety stands and optimize tooling performance.Toolroom Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities\r\nManage and oversee daily tool room operations supporting fabrication, welding, assembly, and production machining.\r\nPlan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for fixtures and tooling.\r\nEnsure tooling availability, performance, and readiness to meet production demands\r\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and efficiency\r\nManage tooling budgets, maintenance planning, and spare parts inventory\r\nCollaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support plant objectives\r\nEnsure compliance with health & safety, quality, and operating standards\r\nCoach, mentor, and develop team members, supporting succession planning\r\nToolroom Supervisor Education & Experience:\r\nHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required. Technical certification, associate degree in manufacturing/engineering is highly preferred.\r\n5-8+ year of experience in tool & die or machining with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role.\r\nCertificate of QualificationTool & Die Maker, Toolroom Machinist, or similar\r\nExperience in a stamping environment\r\nExperience with continuous improvement methodologies\r\nExperience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software\r\nExposure to budgeting and capital planning within a toolroom environment\r\nToolroom Supervisor Skills\r\nAbility to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and other technical writing\r\nStrong knowledge of tooling maintenance, welding, and forming processes.\r\nProficiency in precision machining processes, including:\r\nUse of CNC machining and turning centers\r\nUse of manual Bridgeport-style milling machines, manual lathes, and manual surface grinders\r\nProficiency in use of precision measuring equipment, including:\r\nMicrometers and calipers\r\nIndicators\r\nGage blocks\r\nHeight gages\r\nCoordinate measuring machines\r\nProficiency in Microsoft Office\r\nProven leadership experience managing skilled trades teams\r\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills\r\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy.\r\nAbility to handle difficult conversations professionally.\r\nStrong time management and organizational abilities.\r\nToolroom Supervisor Supervisory Responsibilities:\r\nYes.
