Critically examine a new or existing design to verify that design principles have been correctly applied.\n\nDevelop working designs, computer solid models, design layouts and drawings using MCAD/MCAE tools.\n\nEnsure quality through adherence to the Quality Systems Manual, applicable Standard Work Instructions and other standards invoked internally or contractually.\n\nWork in a typical office environment with exposure to a light manufacturing environment and laboratory environment.\n\nUse of safety equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.\n\nPerform classical hand calculations and interpret convergence data to validate finite element analysis (FEA) results.\n\nTravel domestically and internationally as needed (~10%).\n\nAbility to obtain and maintain a US Security Secret Clearance.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate degree with 4 years of prior relevant experience.\n\nExperience with Siemens NX and/or Creo, and TeamCenter.\n\nExperience with analysis tools such as Ansys, MathCAD, and CFDesign for structural, thermal, and vibration analysis.\n\nExperience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).\n\nExperience transitioning designs from prototype to production, including support for Low‑Rate Initial Production (LRIP).\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).\n\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD, PADs, LabVIEW, and Xilinx.\n\nPreferred Additional Skills:\n\nExperience with DoD Programs.\n\nEarned Value Management experience.\n\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $122,000 - $227,000.
