Senior VMware & Network Systems Administrator

Hybrid Schedule: 2 days a week onsiteWe are seeking an experienced Senior VMware & Network Systems Administrator to support the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of enterprise-wide infrastructure environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of network and virtualization platforms that serve as the foundation for critical business applications and services.The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in VMware technologies, network administration, systems engineering, and infrastructure lifecycle management. This individual must be capable of collaborating effectively across technical and business teams while also demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The position requires participation in after-hours support for technical and emergency incidents as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and virtualization environments.Manage and support VMware technologies including vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and Log Insight.Administer physical and virtual server environments to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.Manage Microsoft and Red Hat/Linux operating systems and related infrastructure appliances.Monitor system health and perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning activities.Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture, configurations, and technical documentation.Execute patch management, system upgrades, lifecycle planning, and infrastructure optimization initiatives.Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related identity and network services.Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support infrastructure projects and operational objectives.Participate in infrastructure planning, implementation, and migration projects while meeting established timelines and deliverables.Respond to technical, system, and emergency issues outside of normal business hours when required, either remotely or onsite.Maintain compliance with organizational security standards and best practices.Perform additional infrastructure and systems administration duties as assigned.Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating Move Experience in VMware administration Required 5 Years Experience in networking systems administration Required 5 Years Experience with VmWare products of vSphere, vCenter, vSan, NSX, VCF, Log Insight Required Experience with administration of physical and virtual servers Required Experience with operating systems of Microsoft, Redhat, and Linux appliances Required Experience with designing, implementing, and maintenance of complex systems Required Experience with systems optimization, patch management, and lifecycle planning Required Experience with project management and meeting timeline deliverables Required Experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS administration Required Experience with data backup and recovery Required Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Required Ability to collaborate with peers, between teams, and stakeholders Required Responds promptly to technical, system and/or emergency issues when contacted outside of scheduled work hours, remotely or in person as needed Required Perform related work as required Required
