This is a fully onsite role where you will be joining a distributed team that works within data centers and laboratories where we launch our first article AI factories for testing. You will work closely with an elite group of experts committed to innovation and quality.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n\nCoordinate with the DCEO Operations staff, Collocation provider contacts, the company’s real estate management group, and the EHS division to ensure compliance with and advancement of EHS compliance programs, procedures, and training in the east region of the US. The role is based in a Northern Virginia data center. This role focuses on understanding NVIDIA, Federal, State, and local worker safety requirements. It also involves carrying out these requirements at our locations across the eastern US. The role will also help support DCEO EHS team in meeting environmental-related requirements including conducting inspections and assisting with waste management processes.\n\nCollaborate with onsite facilities teams and vendors to ensure safety during medium voltage switching and testing of medium and low voltage equipment. Additionally, coordinate with onsite engineering, facilities teams, and vendors to uphold safety throughout the validation, qualification, and deployment of liquid computer cooling equipment. Review non-routine experiments and work practices on prototype and first article equipment where design and hardware engineers and performing tests to qualify and validate equipment\n\nWork in collocated data centers and data center-related research and development laboratories with up to 50% travel to other eastern US sites\n\nInitiate and conduct workshops and training sessions for DCEO and engineering staff on H&S requirements including hazard analysis, hazard control, electrical safety and qualifications, chemical management and exposure, high sound pressure levels, ergonomics, and other program areas.\n\nEnsure accurate chemical and waste management and maintain chemical inventories, safety data sheets, chemical labeling in chemical storage areas. Conduct universal, e-, and hazardous waste inspections and supervise hazardous waste disposal.\n\nCoordinate with external firms and internal teams as the primary contact for audits and compliance inspections within DCEO site operations.\n\nAct as site leader for assisting with the development of standard and emergency operating procedures, identifying issues, and generating corrective action backlogs.\n\nLeverage AI experience to integrate autonomous solutions into documentation processes, improving team performance.\n\nWhat We Need To See\n\nBachelor's degree in occupational safety, occupational risk management, or related field (or equivalent experience)\n\n8+ years of experience in conducting hazard analysis and risk mitigation strategies, implementation of successful internal EHS programs, management of onsite compliance programs, and site inspections/audits\n\nKnowledge of US federal health and safety laws relevant to commercial and industrial environments with a concentration in electrical safety\n\nKnowledge of employee exposure monitoring programs related to noise, thermal stress exposure, and use of various chemicals\n\nPreparation and implementation of site-specific training modules/programs\n\nWays to stand out from the crowd\n\nCertified Safety Professional (CSP)\n\nCertified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)\n\nCertified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)\n\nNFPA 70E training and certification and/or RCRA and/or DOT hazardous materials training and experience\n\nMaster’s degree in occupational safety and/or health sciences\n\nYour base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
