Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.\r\nKeeps shop area neat and clean.\r\nResponsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanic tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as 'special tools'.\r\nMaintains and is accountable for all Company-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.\r\nAcquire and maintain manufacturer and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications by completing the necessary and required training.\r\nUnderstands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.\r\nOperates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.\r\nReport to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the Company, its personnel, or customers.\r\nMaintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies.\r\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\r\nQualifications/Requirements:\r\nAutomotive experience or equivalent education preferred.\r\nMust be self-motivated, have a positive attitude and work well with other team members.\r\nMust have a strong work ethic.\r\nMust be thorough and take pride in your work.\r\nA valid driver's license must be maintained.\r\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
