This role supports quality assurance, welding, inspection and shipping activities by managing travelers, weld logs, inspection records, and shipping documentation. The Fabrication Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining documentation integrity, supporting customer acceptance requirements, and ensuring effective communication between internal teams and third-party inspectors.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nTraveler Review & Documentation in Aerospace\nEnsure completeness and accuracy of travelers, including operations, weld maps, drawings, RFIs, and required forms\nConduct QA reviews on MTRs, Welding, and NACE documentation\nMaintain documentation standards and filing systems\nWeld Log Management\nManage and maintain job specific weld logs, including accurate data entry and cross checking.\nShipping Coordination\nPrepare, process and track shippers for outgoing materials\nCoordinate shipping documentation, including uploading required records\nEnsure all shipments are properly documented and communicated to internal teams\nDeliver completed shipping records and documentation to the customer Acceptance Data Package (ADP)\nTraveler Finalization\nVerify all traveler pages for completeness and accuracy\nScan, file and organize finalized travelers in accordance with record keeping requirements.\nSpreadsheet & Data Management\nMaintain and update the JPD Fab Contract Spreadsheet\nCreate, organize and maintain job folders and related records\nUpdate job statuses and track customer job numbers to ensure accurate reporting\nThird Party Inspection Records\nManage, track and maintain third party inspection documentation, including Weld and NACE records\n\nEducation & Experience Required\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nMinimum of 5-10 years of experience in fabrication, quality assurance, or a related industrial/manufacturing environment\nPrior experience working with fabrication travelers, weld documentation, MTRs and inspection records are strongly preferred.\nExcel Experience\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nStrong understanding of fabrication and quality documentation process\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy and compliance\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and document controls systems\nAbility to manage multiple jobs, priorities and deadlines simultaneously\nStrong communication and coordination skills with internal teams and third-party inspectors\n\nAt JP Donovan Construction, each project is approached as a joint effort between the client, design and construction teams.
