Produce ad hoc reports as required.\nExperience managing and stewarding large volunteer groups\nExperience with contract negotiation\nInterest in sports and/or intellectual disabilities is helpful, but not required\nKnowledge of GMS (Special Olympics software) is preferred\nRegular attendance required\n\nResponsibilities:\nOversee the planning and implementation of all Special Olympic Florida Competitions in assigned area.\nAssist in securing Area & Regional Games site venues, insurance, and EMT services as well as coordinating all aspects of the competitions\nReview and approve final competition divisions and collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Sports Training & Competition to create schedules and other competition-related paperwork\nRecruit all officials, referees, and judges for Exhibition and Regional Competitions\nRecruit competition directors and sport committee members for Exhibition and Regional Competitions\nConduct after-action meetings to assess the quality of each assigned competition and create after-action reports for future planning\nPlan and execute the Opening Ceremony and awards process for Exhibition and Regional Competitions\nComplete Run of Show for Opening Ceremony at all Exhibition and Regional Competitions\nEnsure every competition includes SOFL branded signage and tents and collaborate with Development to ensure sponsor recognition exists where necessary\nEnsure every assigned competition provides athletes with a safe and high-quality experience\nOrganize coaches meetings/training for each sport before the start of each season\nProvide resources and support for all coaches (i.e. websites, resource manuals, books, etc.)\nRecruit sport-specific clinicians for coach’s trainings\nAttend SOFL Exhibition, Regional and State competitions\nAssist with the food services portion for Exhibition and Area competitions. Contract with food vendors and devise meal plans, costs, and menus.
