US Citizens or Permanent Residents only**\n\nThe Shipping Warehouse Packer moves/packs/loads finished goods material for outbound shipment with required identification. The incumbent is licensed to operate all types of material handling equipment such as fork lift, job crane, grade-all forklift, pallet jack, and side loader in all capacities. The incumbent may also be required to use specialized material handling equipment such as modular tubs and racks.\n\nCore responsibilities include:\nFollow direction of the acting superior, lead man, and/or supervisor\nResponsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of the work-center\nResponsible for knowing and achieving daily standard production and efficiency goals\nResponsible for knowing and achieving scrap goals\nMaintain clean and safe working environment; embrace a clean as you go policy\nLearn the basic skills of the helper position which include but are not limited to:\nUsing material handling equipment on a daily basis under supervision.\nMaintain said equipment via daily equipment checklists and report issues to a supervisor\nManeuver vehicles safely in congested areas\nOperates jib cranes, saws, staple guns, and other production equipment to secure or label containers under supervision\nPlastic wrap, plastic band, and secures and labels containers for shipping purposes\nReplenishes packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, labels, boxes, cartons, and glue\nLoad/unload pallets or racks physically by hand or with job crane under supervision\nStack or take down racks safely as needed\nInspects and stores pallets, tubs, boxes, modular racks etc. when not being used\nExecutes packing processes in accordance to shop floor instructions and process procedures under supervision\nBegin to understand how to clearly identify parts, and maintains clear traceability on serial numbers and piece counts on deliveries being packed\nAssist on properly communicating discrepancies related to finished goods\nProvide assistance to the Shipping Material Handlers\n\nAdditional responsibilities include:\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must:\nBe able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements\nBe able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily\n\nEducation/Experience:\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience\n\nEducation\nPreferred\nHigh School or better\nLicenses & Certifications\nPreferred\nDriver's License\nForklift Operator\nSkills\nRequired\nBasic Arithmetic\nMaterial Handling\nVerbal Communication\nWritten Communication\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
