We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Engineer to join our growing Connecticut team.\nEIT’s are encouraged to apply!\nGENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under general supervision, of the Engineering Manager, performs designs of prestress/precast concrete products and associated plant designs as necessary, while meeting established timelines for completion of work and performing related work as required or assigned.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES:\nprovide a safe, timely and efficient design\ncoordinate and communicate information to responsible parties\nprovide customer service\ncontribute to operational developments\nbuild professional relationships\ncontribute to team effort\nmaintain company reputation\nsecure confidential and intellectual information\nperform all occupational safety and hazard procedures in conjunction with all essential duties\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of:\nthe methods, practices, tools, material and equipment used in the work process\noccupational hazards and proper safety precautions\ncode design criteria, record keeping and documentation procedures used in the Engineering process\nthe end product, including its use and tolerances\nCoreslab policies and procedures relating to Engineering\nEngineering design principles and methods in reinforced concrete\nSkills in:\nsafe and efficient use of applicable equipment, machines and software used in the Engineering process\ndesign of precast concrete products and related hardware\nAbility to:\nsuccessfully direct a team of employees in the Engineering process\nfollow oral and written instruction\nestablish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees\ncommunicate effectively and at an appropriate level for this classification\nmaintain professional and technical expertise\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: Employee may be exposed to:\nmoving mechanical/electrical parts and equipment\nfumes or airborne particles\nvibration\nmetal preservatives\noils and greases\nloud noise\nheat/cold/wet conditions\nworking above ground\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist; talk and hear, see and focus.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities of this classification. Must successfully complete and possess all required company training certifications.
