This position functions as a project engineer, assuming a leadership role on specified projects that will collaborate on designs with other engineers and implement solutions.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop software within a team environment for an information technology intensive business\nReview, analyze, evaluate, and translate business and user needs into software specifications\nParticipate in estimating, planning, and scheduling software development tasks\nParticipate in the design of software systems, user interfaces, web services, processing algorithms, communications methods, and other major components\nDevelop software in C#, ReactJS, HTML, JavaScript and SQL using standard coding practices\nPerform unit, integration, and system level software testing\nAssist SQA with integration and system level software testing\nParticipate in code reviews\nProvide technical support to project team members, business users, and management\nAnalyze and perform performance tuning of software and database systems\nLead medium-sized projects including detailed design, development effort, and timeline\nMentor junior developers to aid in their development\nDesign performance-oriented models, relational database structures, and access patterns\nAbility to participate in on-call rotations as needed to resolve support issues\nOther activities as directed by management\nQualifications/Education:\nEither:\nBachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of directly related experience\n7+ years of directly related experience\nExperience with the following is required:\nC#, Async/Await, .NET (8+ Preferred)\nSQL (Microsoft SQL or other relational databases)\nExperience with the following is preferred:\nReact\nHTML, CSS and JavaScript\nDesktop UI libraries (WinForms or WPF preferred)\nEST API framework (WebAPI preferred)\nMVC or MVVM\nUnit and integration tests\nMicrosoft Visual Studio / Microsoft Visual Studio Code\nMicrosoft SQL Server Management Studio\nStrong communication skills, written and verbal\nSelf-motivated and able to work on a team on independently defined tasks\nExperience with the full software development lifecycle\nExperience with enhancement of object-oriented software applications using relational databases\nExperience with software and database architectural/design techniques\nExperience with highly available production software applications\nDemonstrated ability to own and work autonomously on medium-sized projects\nDemonstrated ability to review designs and code of other team members in a constructive manner\nJob Classification:\nSedentary- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
