Therapist - Respiratory Therapist
Job Description Job Summary: The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care to patients, supporting their respiratory functions and ensuring optimal outcomes. They work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality treatment in acute and critical care settings. Responsibilities: Administer advanced respiratory therapies, including nebulizations, CPT, and oxygen therapy. Manage Bipap, ventilator, and extubation procedures according to clinical protocols. Obtain arterial blood gases (ABGs) and monitor patient status to adjust treatment plans. Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech). Collaborate with physicians and staff to develop and implement individualized care plans. Qualifications: Hold current BLS certification and valid Respiratory Therapist credential. Possess at least 2 years of experience in ICU, step-down, or acute care environments. Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator and Bipap management. Exhibit strong assessment skills and ability to operate specialized equipment (EPOC Blood Gases, PB 840, Newport, ReVel, LTV, V60).
