Cook / Prep Cook — Buddy & Sons Cafe PUBLIC Hotel — New York, NY Buddy & Sons Cafe is seeking motivated, organized, and hospitality-driven Cooks / Prep Cooks to join our opening kitchen team in downtown Manhattan. Located inside the iconic PUBLIC Hotel, Buddy & Sons Cafe is a fast-paced all-day cafe focused on seasonal ingredients, thoughtful execution, and consistent quality. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to grow within a professional kitchen environment and take pride in preparation, organization, and execution. ResponsibilitiesPrepare ingredients and recipes according to house standards Assist with sandwich, salad, breakfast, and hot food production Execute prep lists efficiently and consistently Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation throughout kitchen stations Assist with receiving, storage, labeling, and product rotation Support line cooks and kitchen team during service periods Maintain quality and consistency during high-volume service Follow all DOH food safety and sanitation standards Qualifications3+ years of kitchen, prep, or line cook experience preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work cleanly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and strong work ethic Team-oriented mindset Flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, and holidays Passion for hospitality, restaurants, and food What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for individuals who are dependable, organized, and motivated to grow within a strong kitchen culture.
