We’ll rely on you to provide support to our Columbus, OH water team on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion as you bring fresh ideas to the table. You’ll work alongside local leaders, subject matter experts, professional engineers, and designers, gaining exposure to residential water tank sites and so much more.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\nMonitor and document construction activity, equipment and manpower.\n\nInterpret construction documents, codes and technical submissions to verify conformance with contract and regulatory requirements.\n\nVerify conformance of materials and equipment with approved shop drawings/submittals.\n\nCoordinate construction interfaces with security and building operations daily.\n\nAssist the CM/RE/ARE in the documentation and resolution of field issues.\n\nMaintain awareness of clarifications and changes affecting work in progress.\n\nCoordinate and oversee specialized testing and inspections.\n\nPrepare daily construction reports and maintain accurate records of tests and inspections.\n\nMonitor work performance and document variations from established schedules.\n\nAssist in the evaluation of change order proposals.\n\nAssist Office Engineer, as needed, in evaluating contractor payment requisitions.\n\nMonitor contractor work practices for conformance with site safety requirements.\n\nQualifications and Experience\n\n5+ years of experience in construction/management/inspection.\n\nKnowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; associated safety requirements.\n\nDemonstrated highly effective written skills, timely documenting daily activities and reporting of site issues.\n\nKnowledge of Ohio Building Codes.\n\nAbility to read and interpret construction schedules.\n\nAble and willing to work flexible hours to support the Project needs.\n\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.\n\nCommunication with multiple stakeholders, multiple sites and Subcontractors.\n\nProven as excellent team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.\n\nMinimum of OSHA 10-hour Construction Training.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nFull-time position on site requiring intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Hand manipulation for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation. Occasional need to reach or work above the shoulder, below the shoulder, and near hazardous equipment and machinery. Exposure to dust, gas or fumes, noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.\n\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, vision and basic life insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off (17 days per calendar year), seven paid holidays, one floating holiday, caregiver leave, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount as well as legally mandated benefits.\n\nSalary\nThe base salary range for this position is $64,000.00 to $105,000.00; paid hourly based on hours worked.
