You'll help ensure that the people who depend on this data can trust it completely, every single day.\nIf you're a database professional who takes pride in clean architecture, rock-solid availability, and systems that just work — this is the role for you.\nWhat You'll Own\nDatabase Health & Performance\nKeep databases running at peak performance through tuning, monitoring, and proactive alerting\nDesign and maintain efficient table structures for both transactional and data warehouse workloads\nCollaborate with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures\nSecurity & Reliability\nConfigure and enforce role-based access control (RBAC) and manage admin/service accounts\nMaintain database integrity and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards\nImplement and manage high-availability solutions so downtime is never an option\nMigrations & Modernization\nPlan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations with minimal disruption\nEvaluate open-source and vendor tools to modernize the environment\nLead or support migration efforts across Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL platforms\nBackup, Recovery & Documentation\nOwn backup, restore, and snapshot strategies — because recovery speed matters\nMaintain clear, thorough documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures\nDevelop and implement testing strategies and document results\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired:\n5+ years of database analysis and/or administration experience\nHands-on PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning experience\nExperience with PostgreSQL high-availability solutions and server agent alerts\nStrong knowledge of backup, restore, migration, and snapshot technologies\nAbility to build and maintain efficient table structures for transactional and warehouse data\nActive TS/SCI clearance\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience\nCompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (recommended)\nBonus Points For:\nOracle 19c administration and performance tuning experience\nOracle, MySQL, or cross-platform migration experience\nFamiliarity with evaluating and onboarding vendor or open-source database tools\nWhat to Expect Day-to-Day\nYou'll work with moderate autonomy — trusted to manage your workload and make good technical decisions without someone looking over your shoulder. You'll collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams, advise end-users on best practices, and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support. The salary range for this position is typically $145-$155k.
