The Warehouse Lead will coordinate with other team members to ensure that our warehouse is organized, clean, safe and our small animals are cared for properly. The ideal candidate must be able to work Sun - Thursday 8am-4:30pm.\nResponsibilities:\nClearly understand every protocol for quality and care, related to this segment, established both by Apet and its individual customers, and ensure every animal shipped meets each protocol.\nWorks closely with purchasing team to order small animals.\nOrders inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times.\nPrints labels for orders to be shipped.\nUnloads, organizes and places animals in the appropriate enclosures in accordance with Apet’s standards of care.\nProvides daily visual inspection of all animals, enclosures, and products and notifies management of any issues or concerns.\nSafely selects and packs birds and small companion animals for delivery to customers.\nProvides additional support for warehouse operations as needed.\nOther duties may be applied.\nSkills and Qualifications:\nMaintains safe and compassionate animal handling practices, at all times, while performing job duties.\nAbility to work independently.\nWillingness to learn about all aspects of the animal care industry.\nBilingual (Spanish)\nPhysical Demands:\nEmployee is frequently and regularly required to lift and carry in excess of 30-50 pounds, stoop, kneel or bend.
