This is a high-level, hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, project delivery excellence, and ongoing client satisfaction across Alpha’s most technical and fast-moving projects.\nIf you're a proven construction leader with experience managing large teams and cross-functional departments, this is your chance to lead a high-impact division at one of the most respected firms in Los Angeles.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nLead and manage the Engineering, Permitting, and Production departments\nDrive timely engineering plan production and fast, high-quality permit acquisition\nOversee job turnovers and ensure seamless handoff from Sales to Field Teams\nManage client communication throughout the life of each project\nSupervise a multidisciplinary team: Engineers, Drafters, Expediters, Foremen, Supervisors\nUse Alpha’s internal systems (Job Scheduling Sheets, Budget Control Forms, OnTrack!, etc.) to monitor and improve performance\nConduct regular field visits and maintain high safety, quality, and workmanship standards\nMonitor and report on key KPIs: plan submission rates, permit acquisition, construction income, and budget performance\nOversee personnel performance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions in coordination with HR\nEnsure tools, fleet vehicles, and equipment are properly tracked, maintained, and optimized\nQualifications:\n10+ years of experience in construction, with at least 7 years in the field (carpentry, framing, or concrete)\nSuccessful track record in leadership roles: Foreman, Supervisor, Project Manager\nPrior experience in architectural or structural design\nStrong understanding of construction management tools, reporting, and production systems\nProficient in reading structural and architectural plans\nAble to manage large teams across multiple departments with clarity and authority\nExcellent communicator with high standards and a commitment to accountability\nPhysical Requirements:\nYou must be able to perform full inspections in all types of buildings and terrain, including:\nCrawlspaces, basements, attics, ladders, hillsides, and slopes\nTight access areas under buildings and physically demanding environments\nPerks & Benefits:\nCompetitive pay: $150K–$175K/year, based on experience\nEmployer contribution toward medical and dental insurance\nVision Insurance\n401(k) retirement plan\nCompany phone provided\nBonus Opportunities\nCareer Advancement opportunities and leadership development\nStability: 30+ years in business and continuing to grow\nWork Location:\nIn person – Sunland, CA 91040, Ventura and LA County\nEqual Opportunity Employer:\nAlpha Structural is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
