Truck Washer
Location: High Desert & Low Desert (Travel Required in company vehicle)
Schedule: Full-Time (Travel between company locations required)
Pay: $24-$26/hr.
Position Summary
The Truck Washer is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and preparing commercial trucks and equipment to company standards. This role requires hands-on experience with industrial cleaning, surface preparation, and basic equipment maintenance. The position involves regular travel between company locations throughout the High Desert and Low Desert regions and requires the ability to safely operate manual transmission vehicles (non-CDL).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Wash and detail commercial trucks and heavy equipment using pressure washers
Perform surface preparation work, including corrosion removal, needle gunning, and concrete chipping
Assist with rust mitigation and basic surface treatment prior to repair or painting
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively (e.g., grinders, needle guns, chipping tools)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of wash bays, yards, and work areas
Travel to multiple company locations across the High Desert and Low Desert as assigned
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
Identify and report equipment damage, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns to management
Perform other duties as assigned to support operations and maintenance needs
Qualifications & Requirements
Ability to drive a manual transmission truck (non-CDL required)
Experience with commercial truck washing or industrial cleaning preferred
Working knowledge of corrosion control, needle gunning, and concrete chipping
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely in an industrial environment
Ability to travel regularly between company locations
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 60 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Skills
Prior experience in construction, heavy equipment maintenance, or industrial environments
Familiarity with safety standards related to industrial equipment and tools
Basic mechanical awareness of commercial trucks and equipment
Physical Demands
This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive use of hands and arms. The employee must be able to work around heavy equipment and loud environments while wearing required PPE.
Work Environment
Outdoor and industrial settings, including truck yards, wash bays, and construction-related environments. Exposure to dust, water, chemicals, and noise is expected.
