Job DescriptionCertification DetailsBLSNorth Carolina RN LicenseJob DetailsProvides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and patients.Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects.Performs bedside point of care testing as required.Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs.Consults with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues.Participates in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.Promotes a safe, clean and secure hospital environment.Recognizes data from complex situations to determine priorities for care.Collaborates with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care.Identifies and addresses cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care.Reads journals applicable to practice and brings ideas to staff for assessment.Job RequirementsOne (1) year of nursing experience required.2 years of Med Surg and Telemetry experience required.Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required.Schedule InformationShift: Days12 hours per day36 hours per weekUnit Specific InformationMedSurg and Telemetry unit experience requiredAdditional DetailsNursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing required.Preferred education: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.Will consider 48-hour contract.
