Local Candidates only.Writing samples will be requested during the interview process.***Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager to own and advance our external communications strategy for a growing SaaS company in the hospitality technology space. This role sits within the marketing leadership team and is responsible for shaping our narrative, strengthening earned media presence, and elevating both company and executive visibility.This position goes beyond reactive PR. The ideal candidate brings strong point of view, sound judgment, and momentum—someone who can identify the right stories to tell, shape how we show up in the market, and actively influence outcomes rather than simply distribute announcements.This role is not a technical writing or product documentation role. It is focused on industry storytelling, thought leadership, media engagement, and brand credibility.Key ResponsibilitiesExternal CommunicationsOwn and execute the company’s external communications and PR strategy, partnering with internal stakeholders and external agenciesShape compelling stories, angles, and points of view that position the company as a trusted industry voiceProactively identify industry trends, market moments, and newsworthy narratives worth engagingActively manage agency performance, challenging direction and outcomes when coverage or results fall shortNarrative Development & PositioningPartner closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Leadership to define and evolve the company’s storyEnsure consistent, aligned messaging across press, website, campaigns, launches, social media, and eventsTranslate complex business initiatives into clear, compelling narratives for external audiencesHelp articulate the company’s role in shaping the future of hospitality technology (including emerging capabilities such as AI, where applicable)Executive & Spokesperson EnablementBuild and strengthen public profiles for senior leadersDevelop POVs, talking points, commentary, and briefing materials for media interviews, podcasts, panels, and speaking engagementsConfidently guide and encourage executives to engage externally when timing and opportunity matterPrepare leaders for press interactions and high-visibility momentsContent Development & Amplification (Non-Technical)Create and oversee content including:Press releases and corporate announcementsByline articles and thought leadershipWebsite and newsroom contentSocial media copy tied to PR initiativesLight advertising and campaign messagingCollaborate with social and marketing teams to amplify PR wins across owned and earned channelsSupport executive and employee presence on LinkedIn and other relevant platformsModern Communications & AdvocacyExpand PR efforts beyond traditional media into owned, earned, and shared channelsActivate customers, partners, and internal subject-matter experts as credible external advocates when appropriatePartner with Demand Gen and Events teams to align PR narratives with go-to-market prioritiesMeasurement & Business ImpactTrack and report on PR effectiveness, including coverage quality, reach, sentiment, and share of voiceUnderstand and articulate how communications support brand credibility, demand generation, and pipeline influenceProvide regular updates and insights to marketing and executive leadershipRequirements / QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Related Field; 5–7 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relationsExperience in hospitality, travel, SaaS, or B2B technology strongly preferredStrong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging by audienceExperience working closely with executives and influencing without formal authorityComfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with some ambiguityDesired AttributesIn-house communications experience at a scaling SaaS or technology companyAgency background supporting hospitality or B2B technology clientsExperience supporting narrative shifts, growth phases, or repositioning effortsExposure to emerging technology categories (e.g., AI, data platforms, automation)Strong executive presence and confident decision-making styleMust be willing to complete all license applications, background checks, security checks and/or any other documentation and provide copies of any identification documents required by any State, Federal or Tribal governmental agency in order to maintain compliance with their laws and to successfully perform in the role.The information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
