The Tooling Engineer will be responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures for tooling our innovative products. This role is pivotal in improving manufacturing processes and ensuring product quality while collaborating with cross-functional teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEnhance overall processes and address related issues, focusing on process development.\nSchedule and create comprehensive process documentation.\nLead problem-solving initiatives and manage various programs.\nDesign, install, and debug tooling and capital equipment.\nObtain tooling quotes and coordinate sourcing, construction, and trials.\nDevelop and troubleshoot stamping processes, specifying necessary forming and stamping equipment.\nProvide engineering resources and support to other departments as needed.\nAdhere to quality system procedures and standards.\nDesign and develop manufacturing tooling and fixtures, providing clear sketches and instructions to tool construction personnel.\nInvestigate and analyze tooling, processing, assembly, and sequencing challenges, initiating corrective actions as required.\nCollaborate closely with product and process teams to design, install, and launch robust processes, including conducting process sign-off activities and production pilots.\nParticipate in problem resolution teams to drive continuous improvement.\nDevelop specifications and analyze supplier quotations for purchasing new production equipment, including entire manufacturing lines.\nTroubleshoot daily assembly and press shop issues to support ongoing production needs.\nAct as the liaison with R&D to ensure manufacturability of components prior to release.\nServe as the contact person for Engineering Change Notice (ECN) implementation.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nKnowledge/Experience:\nProficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Pro E, SolidWorks) is required.\nJourneyman Tool and Die experience is a plus.\nDie Design experience is preferred.\nStrong understanding of stamping and molding design applications.\nFamiliarity with equipment and systems relevant to the discipline.\nComprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures.\nSkills and Abilities:\nExpertise in applying engineering principles and procedures.\nStrong skills in engineering design applications.\nExcellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.\nA commitment to personal and operational excellence, with a focus on continuous improvement.\nDrive to achieve world-class performance standards.\nEducation:\nBachelors degree in Engineering or a related field, or a minimum of 8 years of equivalent experience.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit for extended periods, stand, and perform manual dexterity tasks, including stooping, bending, and minimal lifting.\nMust-Have Qualifications:\nBachelors degree in Engineering or a related field OR 8 years of equivalent experience.\nExperience in CAD software (AutoCAD, Pro E, SolidWorks).\nJourneyman Tool and Die experience.\nDie Design experience.\nMetal stamping experience as it relates to tooling.\nWhy Join Us?\nHere, we value innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
