Carter Express/Carter Logistics Job Description - Janitor Custodian 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 7AM - 4PM | Weekend Rotation Department: Facilities Maintenance Job Status: Full-Time Reports to: Site Manager POSITION SUMMARY As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition Perform routine cleaning duties such as: Restroom Cleaning Window Cleaning Break Room Cleaning Sweeping Dusting Perform routine maintenance tasks Organize custodial closets and spaces Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Make adjustments and minor repairs Stock and maintain supply rooms Cooperate with the rest of the staff Some lifting, up to 25 pounds, may be required EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic computer skills and abilities to operate and utilize current diagnostic tools. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Solid work history and quality craftsmanship. Ability to handle physical workload Strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills WORK ENVIRONMENT: You will need to follow all correct and proper PPE requirements such as but not limited to, wearing a reflective vest, shirt, or jacket, and steel toe shoes or shoe coverings when needed. You will also need to maintain any and all safety certifications and standards necessary as set by management.
