Field Service Technician II
DescriptionPosition:This position works under minimal supervision; capable of performing all of the duties of the Field Service Technician III, along with the following: responsible for the blueprint comprehension, welding, and fabrication of complete assemblies, off-site at our customer's facility. Must be capable of sanitary fabrication and welding techniques. Must work well with the Field Service Supervisor and the customer in a team environment.Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide service and customer support during field visits or dispatchesProven Field Service experienceMust possess a valid driver's license.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to perform welding and fabrication of complete assemblies while off-site.Familiar with basic Millwright equipment installation (blocks, rigging, etc.) techniques.Ability to perform in-process quality control checks to ensure that tolerances are met.Able to set up and operate metal fabricating equipment as required.Capable of reading and understanding complex blueprints and welding symbols.Capable of working well with Field Service Supervisor and customer in a team environment; some assignments may require overnight stays.Capability of sanitary fabrication, including purge and orbital welding of Stainless Steel.Follow all shop safety rules and regulations as well as our customer's safety procedures.Comply with food safety regulations as required.Basic knowledge of electricity and general welding equipment voltage.Must supply his/her own basic welding tools and hand tools required for installation.Responsible for the care and proper use of install equipment.Other duties as required.Position RequirementsEducation And ExperienceMust meet and be capable of all of the requirements for the Field Service Technician II job.High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of experience required / Technical school preferred.Ability to pass any job specific required weld certifications.Physical Requirements And Work EnvironmentLifting, carrying, pushing & pulling up to 75 lbs.Must be able to work in all weather conditions.Standing; constant standing upright, while working at workbenches, machinery, or operating equipment.Stooping; frequently bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.Reaching; frequently extending hands or arms in any direction.Handling; frequently seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, such as to turn a switch or shift automobile gears.Fingering; frequently picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.Feeling; occasionally noting attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.Hearing; constantly perceiving the nature of sounds by ear.Near acuity vision; constant clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.Proximity to moving parts; frequent exposure to possible bodily injury from moving mechanical parts of equipment, tools, or machinery.Exposure to noise; frequent exposure to mild to moderate noise levels. Noise from powered press brakes, powered shears, automatic punches, power hand grinders, power hand sanders, air compressors, forklift trucks, and hammering.Maintain environmental standards as established in the QEMS, recommend solutions to protect the environment, reduce pollution & environmental hazards.OtherMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
