Application Specialist I - Project Information
We are looking for an Application Specialist to support specific Microsoft products currently deployed on projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of one or more deployed technical applications to defined specification, throughout the life of a project.
In addition, assumes the role of administrator for one or more technical applications on several projects, including system set-up, administration and problem resolution, and the use of application technologies to deliver improvements and efficiencies.
Responsible for ensuring delivered application(s) conforms to specification
Determine set-up requirements and configure and customise the technical application(s) to suit client and project needs
Create and manage user accounts
Act as the first point of contact and carry out problem diagnosis and resolution of user issues
Work within Wood ticketing system to submit infrastructure issues for and ensure resolution and close-out
Produce documentation for applications including procedures, process flows and instructions/How-To guides
Provide user training, desktop support and front-line user support including troubleshooting
Continually assess development and improvement opportunities including integration with other applications
Maintain lessons learned and identify improvements to the way the application is configured and used
Development and customisation of collaboration sites/applications deployed on projects
Ensure application developments and changes are fully tested before deployment into live environment
Promote the value and use of the application within the business area
This is an entry level position with following requirements:
Experience working in a project execution environment
Familiar with Microsoft products - MS Teams/SharePoint and Power Platform
Able to assess client and contractual requirements and translate these into a project-ready environment
Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
Strong problem-solving ability
Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to take on administration of evolving applications
Self-motivated, takes initiative, goal-oriented
