Staff Accountant

Emend Healthcare is a multisite behavioral health company specializing in acquisition and integration of businesses into its nationwide treatment platform. Staff accountant works directly with CFO to facilitate company growth while being integral to the acquisition and de-novo growth teams.Job Description:Review financial statements for accuracy and legal complianceAssist in diligence work on acquisition targetsAssist in vetting de-novo locationsPrepare and file tax returnsEnter accounting related information into business logsInspect account books for efficiency and accuracyOrganize and update financial recordsRecommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenuePerform monthly bank settlementsPrepare documentation for external auditorsSkills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (or equivalent experience) and accountant certificationExperience in healthcare, specifically with insurance reimbursement models preferredStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial dataAbility and willingness to work in a collaborative team environmentStrong mathematical, accounting, and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task, and work in an organized, detailed mannerProcess-oriented with strong time management skillsAbility to meet deadlines and manage competing prioritiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office skills and experience with accounting software (MS experience is a plus)Benefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceRobust bonus program
