This role is responsible for architecture and circuit design, power regulation systems, digital communication interfaces, and regulatory-compliant system development, driving programs from concept through New Product Introduction (NPI) and into sustained production.\nThe ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, analytical capability, and demonstrated leadership in taking products from concept through production release. This position also serves as a mentor to junior engineers and a subject matter expert across cross-functional teams.\nDesign & Development\nLead the design, modeling, and simulation of embedded electrical systems\nDevelop low- to high-density circuit cards and power/signal conversion systems\nArchitect embedded system platforms including power regulation and digital communication subsystems\nEnsure designs meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance requirements\nTechnical Leadership\nDirect technical design reviews and define electrical system requirements\nOwn electrical architecture decisions from concept through production\nDrive technology alignment with product roadmaps and business objectives\nProvide technical oversight during prototype builds, compliance testing, and production ramp\nInterface with suppliers for vendor qualification and product launch support\nProvide ongoing sustainment support for fielded hardware products\nAnalysis, Compliance & Simulation\nPerform advanced electrical analysis using industry-standard simulation tools\nValidate signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC performance, and overall system robustness\nEnsure compliance with applicable safety standards and EMC requirements (FCC, CE, IEC)\nSupport pre-compliance and formal certification testing, including documentation and remediation\nProblem Solving & Validation\nLead failure analysis and root cause investigations\nTroubleshoot complex system-level issues in lab and field environments\nDiagnose EMI, ESD, grounding, and safety-related issues\nImplement corrective actions and drive continuous product improvement\nMentorship & Collaboration\nMentor and guide junior engineers in best practices and design methodology\nCollaborate with mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, compliance, and quality teams\nServe as a subject matter expert for stakeholders across the organization\nEducation\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field\nExperience\n10+ years of experience in electrical system design, development, or testing\nDemonstrated experience taking products from concept through NPI and production release\nExperience supporting regulatory certification and compliance testing\nQualifications\nTechnical Expertise\nDeep knowledge of embedded system architecture\nStrong experience in high-speed digital design, power regulation/conversion, and high-density PCB layout\nProficiency with schematic capture and PCB CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer or equivalent)\nExperience with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, or similar)\nExpertise in digital communication interfaces including RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, and USB\nRegulatory & Compliance Knowledge\nWorking knowledge of applicable safety and EMC standards (IEC, FCC Part 15, CE)\nExperience designing for EMI mitigation, grounding, shielding, filtering, and surge protection\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in regulated or high-reliability industries (medical, industrial, telecom, consumer electronics, etc.)\nExperience leading compliance testing and working with third-party certification bodies\nBackground in system-level power distribution and protection design\nExperience mentoring engineering teams\nFamiliarity with manufacturing validation processes and production support\nKey Competencies\nStrong analytical and systems-level thinking\nTechnical leadership and architectural ownership\nDeep understanding of compliance-driven design\nExcellent problem-solving skills\nClear cross-functional communication\nOwnership mindset with the ability to drive projects to completion\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
