This person will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for providing software engineering expertise, leading development teams, and delivering complex software solutions.\n\nTo be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active security clearance is required.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage a team of software engineers, including hiring, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, performance reviews, and offboarding.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to engineers in resolving complex technical challenges and removing project blockers.\nBalance strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical work, stepping into complex engineering challenges when necessary to support successful project delivery.\nDesign, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain applications using Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring, ASP.NET MVC, Razor/Blazor, PHP, and Drupal.\nLead software development lifecycle modernization efforts using iterative development practices.\nEstablish processes that promote clarity, accountability, measurable progress, and successful project delivery.\nCollaborate with project stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to establish priorities, evaluate technical approaches, manage risks, and achieve project objectives.\nContribute to technical design, architecture, code reviews, and software engineering best practices.\nMaintain effective knowledge management by documenting technical solutions, processes, and project decisions.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\n12+ years of professional software development experience.\nExperience managing and leading software engineering teams.\nStrong experience with one or more of the following: Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring, ASP.NET MVC, Razor/Blazor, PHP, or Drupal.\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.\nExperience implementing or modernizing iterative/Agile software development processes.\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycles, technical design, and engineering best practices.\nExcellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills\nUS Citizen with an active secret security clearance.\n\nCloudshape is committed to employee growth through learning, training, advancement, and rewards.
