Interim General Manager
Think is seeking an Interim GM/COO to help stabilize operations, strengthen coordination across functions, and ensure effective delivery of customer commitments for an industrial client of theirs. This individual will provide hands-on leadership across manufacturing operations, engineering coordination, and performance management while supporting the executive leadership transition.Candidates must be willing to travel to Philipsburg, PA weekly for duration of engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership Transition SupportAct as a strategic and operational partner to the newly appointed Managing DirectorProvide guidance and mentorship during the executive leadership transitionServe as a trusted advisor on operational priorities and organizational alignmentOperational ExecutionEnsure delivery against a strong order backlog through improved operational coordinationSupport the leadership team in driving manufacturing efficiency and production planningMonitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve throughput and productivityCross-Functional AlignmentStrengthen collaboration between engineering, production, and finance functionsFacilitate communication and alignment across key departments to support executionPerformance ManagementImplement or reinforce performance tracking and operational reporting structuresSupport development of operational KPIs and monitoring frameworksOrganizational StructuringAssess current operational processes and recommend improvements where necessarySupport management in strengthening organizational structure and operational disciplineKey Qualifications:The ideal candidate will be a seasoned industrial executive with experience leading manufacturing organizations and supporting leadership transitions in complex operational environments.Former General Manager, COO, or senior operational leader in an industrial or manufacturing companyExtensive experience in manufacturing operations and engineering-driven environmentsProven ability to stabilize and optimize operations during periods of transition or changeStrong leadership and mentoring capabilities, particularly in supporting developing executivesExperience improving cross-functional coordination across production, engineering, and financeOperational turnaround, transformation, or post-acquisition integration environmentsPreferred Experience:Equipment manufacturing, heavy machinery, industrial products, or engineered systemsMid-sized manufacturing organizationsOperational turnaround, transformation, or post-acquisition integration environmentsEqual Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status
