Apply via Dice today!Job: SQL Database DeveloperLocation: Columbia, SC ( Hybrid)The candidate will take initiative in performance, working independently and with groups toeffectively accomplish project objectives and engage in the following:Identifying, extracting and transforming required data based on business requirementsand following data governance standardsPerforming detailed data analysis and data profiling supporting the development andimplementation of data cleanse/create processes and other strategies that optimize dataqualityUnderstanding performance, quality, and schedule considerationsInterpreting complex data and communicate it in an effective manner, leveragingadvanced reporting techniquesRecognizing data patterns, quantify potential issues, and identify solutionsStandardizing, harmonizing, cleaning, preparing, and using data for datasetsdevelopment, reporting, and analysisProviding support to the project team in terms of technical specification and build ofinterface objectsLead efforts to design, test and validate system interfacesWork with state (agency IT staff) and Federal partners to design, test and implementinterface files and procedures for data exchangeInspect and correct, as necessary, interface partner files in productionServe as primary contact for any interface production file issues during nightly batchprocess, monitors batch process for errorsAct as liaison between Child Support team and interface partnersPerform code, technical and logical reviewsMonitor database growth trends and recommend normalization strategies andmaintenance improvements to ensure long-term performance and scalabilityDesign, develop and manage data analysis reports using Microsoft PowerBI platformServe as primary DBA for Child Support related applicationsParticipate in the monitoring, oversight and reporting on the execution of the SystemDevelopment Contractor s performance as it relates to development, daily operationsactivities including batch and online performance.Developing and maintaining enterprise data authoritative ownership and stewardshipmetadataCommunicating and supporting the implementation of corporate policies, standards, andprocedures that provide effective architecture, governance, and management of theorganization s information/data assetsDeveloping and maintaining effective and efficient information architecture and dataownership awareness and training programsMonitoring regulatory and compliance guidelines (such as data retention and auditrequirements) to determine impact on enterprise information architectureREQUIRED SKILLS:Experience as a SQL DBAExperience of large system architectureLarge scale production system implementation experienceExperience overseeing work of Software Development VendorsMS SQL ServerTFS (Team Foundation Server)Microsoft Visual Studio 2022C#, ASP.net, and/or .NETPowershell
