Park & Market supports and hosts a wide variety of civic, community, corporate, and campus events, meetings, conferences, and programs.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nThe Program Manager manages the planning, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of programs and courses within UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced public educational program professional to resolve a wide range of educational program issues and needs assessments. Develops new public educational programs, and works on complex public educational programs of diverse scope. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering courses, presentations and development programs. Receives general instructions and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for course and instructional improvement. Fully knowledgeable in course subject matter and program.\nAdditional duties include ongoing course schedule planning, instructor recruiting, student and instructor communications, promotional planning, periodic program and course evaluation and adjustment, and responding to complex programmatic issues. In conjunction with academic leadership and other internal stakeholders, participates in long-range strategic planning. Develops outlines for new course curricula and updates, or recommends updates to existing course content. May participate in the development of strategic marketing plans, coordinating marketing events, and developing and monitoring budgets.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge of managing a portfolio of business and management courses at the university or corporate level.
