This IT subgroup is dedicated to supporting, integrating, and advancing Santa Monica Seafood's business and analytical systems. Our systems encompass, but are not limited to, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Intelligence (Power BI), web solutions, and a variety of serverless applications. Our core technology stack includes MS SQL Server, AWS Services, C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. As a compact team, we value someone eager to evolve alongside us.\nThe right person for this role will hold working knowledge and skillsets that can be immediately applied to help manage/develop our business systems and solutions. This role requires the ability to work independently, as well as effectively communicating with the internal team as well as resources/stakeholders from other departments.\nThe selected incumbent will need an intermediate to advanced skillset with (at minimum) the following technologies and languages: MS SQL Server, C#, Javascript, HTML, as well as use of Visual Studio, MS SQL Management Studio, AWS Services, and source control software.\nThis position is hybrid, requiring you to work from the office 4 days a week, with the flexibility to work 1 day from home.\nWe are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.\nShort-term expectations for this position:\n1. Support and expand an existing integration solution between our B2B eCommerce system and our ERP system.\n2. Provide data integration services to enable a new Business Intelligence solution for a supply chain partner. This position will support and enable an existing BI Analyst who focuses on building solutions in PowerBI.\n3. Provide data analysis for import/export work from a legacy ERP system to our new ERP system. This position supports and enable our ERP manager.\nMid-long-term expectations:\n1. Perform preventative maintenance tasks and create, maintain, update BSA SOPs.\n2. Monitor and remediate BSA assets on prem and in-cloud including (but not limited to) databases, AWS assets, Azure assets, and internally developed web apps.\n3. Provide data analysis services to investigate/troubleshoot data accuracy and/or retrieval issues.\n4. Collaborate with business teams (including our ERP and I&O teams) to ensure success in deployment and maintenance of their applications and/or processes.\n5. Utilize and improve our code repository and BSA documentation system.\nMinimum Requirements:\nIntermediate to advanced skills and experience with SQL Server and SSIS\nAbility to read and write complex stored procedures\nAdept at turning information requirements for analytics into TSQL scripts\nGeneral experience designing CRUD logic and code\nIntermediate to advanced skills and experience in C#\nAbility to work on, and create new solutions involving:\nAWS and Azure Cloud\nAPI Use and creation (i.e. AWS Lambda and API Gateway)\nMust be analytical and possess strong critical thinking skills\nAbility to effectively listen and pay attention to details\nWork well with others, especially your teammates\nThe selected incumbent would be hungry to advance their knowledge and skill sets in order to apply it toward challenges and opportunities this role exposes\nAbility to work on multiple projects, results oriented, and able to balance business considerations vs technical capabilities\nMust possess excellent oral and written communication skills\nAbility to write clear and concise documentation and emails\nNice to Haves:\nFull Stack experience (architecting and deploying complete solutions)\nBusiness Process Analysis experience\nExperience with Business Intelligence solutions\nMicroservices, SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)\nEnterprise architecture\nProject Management experience\nSeafood or food distribution experience\nFinancial reporting experience\nEssential Physical Functions:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
