Senior Property Accountant
The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for the full accounting cycle for assigned properties. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely decision‑making support for operations.Key Responsibilities:Own the month‑end close process for assigned properties, including journal entries, accruals, and reviewsPrepare and review bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliationsManage cash activity, funding requests, and treasury‑related transactionsPrepare and review monthly financial statements and perform variance analysisPartner closely with property management and operations to resolve accounting discrepanciesEnsure accuracy of rent rolls, CAM charges, and expense allocationsMaintain audit‑ready documentation and support internal and external auditsAssist with process improvements and system enhancements as the company scalesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of property or real estate accounting experienceStrong understanding of reconciliations, accrual accounting, and cash managementExperience working in an ERP or property management accounting systemAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets preferred)Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesCollaborative mindset with clear communication skills
