This role involves preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating specialized imaging equipment, and maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety standards and departmental protocols.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals via injection, ingestion, or inhalation under the indirect supervision of a board-certified radiologistGreet and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner while ensuring proper patient identificationOperate radiation detection, calibration, and imaging equipment safely and effectivelyPosition and immobilize patients as necessary to obtain optimal imaging resultsApply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and selfEvaluate diagnostic images for technical quality and accuracyProvide for the physical and psychological comfort of patients during examinations and treatmentsMaintain aseptic technique when requiredAccurately document procedures, technical factors, imaging data, and quality assurance activitiesPerform routine quality control checks on equipment and proceduresQualifications & Skills:Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and radiation safety practicesExcellent patient care and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentHigh level of professionalism and attention to detailCommitment to adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsWork Environment:This position requires working in a clinical or hospital setting, following established medical imaging department protocols and safety regulations while delivering high-quality patient care.Required Certs: BLS, Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT) Verification, Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) VerificationVariable Start Times: 0600, 0700, or 0800 - Call Every 3rd WeekendRelocation assistance availableDirect Hire Job# 795575About Medical Solutions Direct HireAt Medical Solutions, we're people who care, helping people who care.
