They develop and implement strategies to minimize unplanned downtime, extend asset life, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nReliability Strategy Development: Design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and unplanned downtime.\nRoot Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead investigations into equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.\nAsset Management: Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and prioritize maintenance activities.\nMaintenance Planning: Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to schedule and optimize maintenance activities.\nContinuous Improvement: Drive reliability improvement initiatives using methodologies such as RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Six Sigma.\nCapital Projects Support: Provide reliability input during the design and commissioning of new equipment or plant modifications.\nKPI Tracking: Monitor key reliability metrics such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), and equipment availability.\nTraining & Mentoring: Support and train maintenance technicians and operators on reliability best practices.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).\nExperience: 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing or process plant environment.\nTechnical Skills: Proficiency in CMMS, vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication management, and other predictive maintenance tools.\nCertifications (preferred): Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional).\nSoft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally.\n\nThe base salary for this position is between $85,000 to $90,000.\n\nAbout us:\n\nPPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD®\n\nThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
