This role is vital to ensuring continuous system uptime and operational excellence across multiple technical domains. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert with strong ICS experience, adept in troubleshooting complex systems and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. The individual should be familiar with control system database configuration and management and be comfortable with core facilities control system principles. This position would also at times support Chantilly if needed, but at least 75% of the candidate's time would be Springfield, VA.\nPrimary Responsibilities Oversee the deployment, operation, and monitoring of ICS to support critical infrastructure and minimize downtime.\nPerform advanced diagnostics , root cause analysis, and rapid troubleshooting to resolve system malfunctions.\nCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, and HVAC teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of control systems by contributing to design and installation.\nInterpret engineering drawings , technical specifications, and project documentation to validate system design and ensure robust implementation.\nDevelop and deliver technical training programs to field staff, focusing on reliability, incident response, and best practices.\nBuild strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to coordinate technical support, manage warranties, and lead system upgrades.\nSupport implementation of procedural and policy changes across sites to improve operational consistency and compliance.\nContribute to projects spanning systems integration, system administration, and field operations with moderate to high impact.\nStay up to date with industry standards , regulatory requirements , and emerging technologies in ICS and critical infrastructure protection.\nBasic Qualifications US Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance\nBachelor's or Master's degree and 5-8 years of relevant experience.\nProven experience supporting Industrial Control Systems (ICS) in high-availability or mission-critical environments.\nStrong background in mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems , with hands-on expertise integrating these with ICS platforms.\nDemonstrated ability to create and deliver technical training focused on system uptime and incident management.\nExcellent communication and technical documentation skills.\nStrong vendor management capabilities, including coordinating technical support and managing system enhancements.\nExtensive experience with control system configuration and management.
