Architectural Designer
Position OverviewThe Achitectural Designer will play a key role in the creative development of projects from initial concept through Schematic Design.Working directly with the Principal, the position is focused on the exploration, development, visualization, and communication of architectural ideas across a wide range of project types and scales.The role requires a strong combination of design talent, architectural thinking, graphic communication skills, digital modeling expertise, and an interest in emerging design technologies. The successful candidate will contribute to the generation of architectural concepts, design strategies, massing studies, visualizations, presentations, and design narratives that support both project development and business growth.This position is intended for a highly creative and motivated architect who enjoys the early stages of the design process and is passionate about transforming ideas into compelling architectural proposals and presentations.Key ResponsibilitiesConcept DesignAssist in the development of architectural concepts and design strategies.Explore multiple design options and massing studies.Conduct site analysis, precedent research, and feasibility studies.Develop building form, organization, and architectural language.Support the evolution of projects from initial ideas through Schematic Design.Participate in internal design reviews and critiques.Design VisualizationProduce diagrams, concept illustrations, and design studies.Develop architectural renderings and visual presentations.Create compelling graphics that clearly communicate design intent.Prepare materials for client presentations, design reviews, and stakeholder meetings.Develop visual narratives that support project proposals and presentations.Digital ModelingDevelop and maintain three-dimensional project models.Create massing studies and design iterations.Generate visuals and studies directly from project models.Support environmental, urban, and geometric analyses when required.Presentation & CommunicationPrepare presentation packages for clients, developers, investors, and project stakeholders.Develop design diagrams, process graphics, and project narratives.Assist in proposal preparation and business development materials.Contribute to awards submissions, publications, competitions, and marketing initiatives.Design ResearchResearch architectural precedents, materials, technologies, and industry trends.Explore emerging design methodologies and digital workflows.Support material, façade, and architectural systems studies.Contribute to internal design research and innovation initiatives.Innovation & TechnologyUtilize AI-assisted design and visualization tools where appropriate.Explore computational design workflows and generative design methods.Assist in developing new design processes and presentation techniques.Contribute to the firm's ongoing adoption of emerging technologies.CollaborationWork closely with the Principal during concept and design development.Collaborate with architects, consultants, and external partners as required.Support project transitions into later phases of development.Contribute positively to a collaborative and design-focused studio culture.QualificationsEducationProfessional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).Experience3–8 years of professional experience in architecture and design.Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence and creative thinking.Experience in conceptual and schematic design.Experience preparing architectural presentations, diagrams, and visual studies.Experience working on multifamily, hospitality, mixed-use, residential, commercial,
