Specifically, Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) technology for both gas and electric projects.\nIn this role you will work with business leaders and service providers to develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies, as well as developing methodologies and processes to ensure compliance to those strategies. The solution architect will work with Enterprise Architects to develop and maintain Technology Roadmaps aligned with approved IT Investments and approved by IT Leadership.\nEffective Technology portfolio management processes and tools used as a key input into IT investment decisions and in developing solution alternatives to meet business needs\nProactive technology roadmaps and plans for future needs, based on anticipated business goals and industry direction\nProject architecture reviews conducted in a timely manner with appropriate level of quality (Lead Architect)\nPublished up-to-date and adhered to architecture standards, frameworks, patterns and procedures\nReduced cost of IT via effective reuse, processes and adherence to standards\nYour responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\nAnalyze enterprise business drivers to develop enterprise architecture strategies and plans\nResearch technology industry and market trends for a domain\nDevelop strategies and roadmaps to deliver one AMI solution for NiSource\nIdentify opportunities to invest in emerging technologies\nCollaborate closely with peer Architects and IT staff to drive NiSource objectives\nDevelop standards and reference architectures for the domain\nDevelop, design, artifact and work closely with service providers to build, test, and deploy AMI solutions\nDevelop and maintain enterprise AMI standards\nIdentify, champion and direct technology roadmap initiatives\nEstablish best practices and standards and track adoption of standards\nRecommend proactive courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness\nYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
