Join a rapidly growing organization with a strategic vision and dynamic plan.\n\nWe are seeking a Communications Intern to join our team.\n\nThe Communications Intern will support initiatives that strengthen the firm's brand, enhance internal and external communications, and promote engagement with clients, prospects, and employees. This position provides exposure to marketing strategy, content creation, digital communications, and brand management efforts. Working closely with the Marketing Department, the intern will assist in developing and executing communication initiatives that align with the firm's growth objectives and culture.\nEssential Functions:\nAssist with the creation and distribution of marketing and communication materials, including newsletters, email campaigns, blogs, and promotional content.\nSupport social media efforts by helping create, schedule, monitor, and analyze content across various platforms.\nHelp maintain and update website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.\nAssist in the development of marketing collateral, presentations, and client-facing materials.\nSupport internal communication initiatives that promote employee engagement and reinforce company culture.\nCoordinate and assist with marketing campaigns, events, community involvement activities, and firm-sponsored programs.\nTrack and monitor communication and marketing metrics, providing status updates and identifying opportunities for improvement.\nConduct research on industry trends, competitors, and communication best practices to support marketing strategies.\nAssist with photography, videography, and content gathering for firm events, employee spotlights, and promotional efforts.\nSupport cross-functional collaboration by assisting with meetings, project coordination, note-taking, and follow-up activities.\nEnsure all communications maintain consistency with the firm's brand standards, messaging, and professional image.\nPerform other marketing and communications-related duties as assigned.\n\nCompetencies:\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nExcellent grammar, proofreading, and editing abilities.\nCreative thinking with an eye for design, storytelling, and audience engagement.\nStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams.\nFamiliarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is preferred.\nAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret engagement and marketing performance data.\nProfessionalism and commitment to maintaining confidentiality when appropriate.\nSupervisory Responsibility\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Communications Intern will report directly to the Marketing Department leadership and work closely with members of the marketing team.\nPosition Expectations & Work Environment\nThis is a part-time internship position. The intern is expected to work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to accommodate academic commitments. Work will be performed on-site during normal business hours in a professional office setting.\n\nLocation & Travel\nThis position is based at the Springfield, MO office.
