As Software Engineer I, you will work with Product Managers, Analysts, Testers and cross-functional global teams in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. You will design and develop scalable and efficient software tools that support aspects of client facing Online Banking application. This role will be required to work closely with cross-functional teams and across organizations to define & implement solutions for existing and new client onboarding application, provide ongoing support to the systems developed.\r\nResponsibilities Design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.\r\nProvide module level development leadership (Architecture, Design, Development) for medium to large sized projects and maintenance on our client facing API banking systems.\r\nContribute to and drive department best practices, guidelines implementation and adhering to standards.\r\nExperience building and maintaining large software platforms.\r\nEmpathy with developers. Innate desire to create a superlative developer experience down to the last detail.\r\nDeep love of building elegant, maintainable, well-documented, secure code.\r\nAbstacting, refactoring and/or testing solutions should be a passion, not a chore.\r\nDrive to learn new things and go above and beyond the call of duty.\r\nAlways working to improve yourself and constructively support the team around you.\r\nQualifications Bachelor\\'s Degree and 1 years of experience in Programming OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Programming\r\nPreferred Qualifications Ability to understand and influence the architecture and design.\r\nDemonstrated experience in Microservices architecture, SOA, Spring Boot etc.\r\nStrong hands-on experience in Web services development (SOAP, REST)\r\nDemonstrated experience utilizing CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Delivery) techniques.\r\nHands-on development expertise in React, NodeJS, JAVA, Spring-Boot, J2EE & Enterprise Technologies JMS, JDBC, Web development, Transactions, WS-*, JVM, JNDI, JMX, JTA.\r\nKnowledge of MQs and Kafka.\r\nImplementation experience of software design patterns and best practices applicable to J2EE.\r\nExperience with implementing SSO and security protocols like SAML2.0, OAuth2.0 etc.\r\nKnowledge and experience with RDBMSs (Oracle or MS SQL Server).\r\nPrior experience with regulated financial organization is a plus.\r\nExperience with Test Driven Development and Agile Methodologies in both a co-located and a distributed team environment is a plus.\r\nBenefits Benefits are an integral part of total rewards and First Citizens Bank is committed to providing a competitive, thoughtfully designed and quality benefits program to meet the needs of our associates.
