Personnel will be required to use safety equipment at all times when accessing the vessel, including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel‑toed shoes. While many of the spaces you will work in are completed, other areas of the ship remain active construction zones.\nThe role also involves occasional underway periods to support ship capability testing, which may include live weapons system tests. Underway periods typically last between two and four days.**\nResponsibilities:\n\nSet up and configure ACI hardware and software to support testing of the ship’s Combat System.\nOperate and maintain Servers, Switches, and Storage Area Networks to support testing of the ship’s Combat System.\nTroubleshoot to isolate system errors.\nReview system logs on a periodic and as required to support troubleshooting of system anomalies.\nReview Test Procedures for discrepancies.\nDocument any identified Test Procedure, element, or system problem.\nProvide element status reports as required to cognizant individuals and organizations.\nSupport Ship’s Force familiarization with operation and maintenance of ACI equipment.\n\nQualifications:\n\nRequired:\n\nA BS in an applicable technical field or 4+ years of US Navy experience as a Fire Controlman – AEGIS.\nKnowledge of networks and LINUX/UNIX system administration\nPossess strong analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly in written and oral formats\nSelf-motivated with ability to work independently and with team members to identify and resolve hardware and software issues\nCandidate must have ability to attain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance\nCapacity to work in a Shipyard Industrial Environment, including brief underway periods\n\nDesired:\n\nExperience with the following:\nCisco Switches\nRed Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8\nVMWare ESXI\nMariaDB\nWhat You Can Expect:\nA culture of integrity.\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
