Brief DescriptionPurpose of JobThis position is responsible for arranging coverage for current shifts and related functions.Job FunctionsAssists with arranging nursing coverage for current shifts based on established guidelines and needs. Accepts and records absenteeism calls, notifies supervisors and appropriate departments, and secures replacements as directed. Collects and reports statistics. Assembles and maintains hard copy physician order documents. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Work ExperienceHigh school graduate or equivalent Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesDetail oriented and organized Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment Ability to work autonomously and as a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a medical center/health care office Experience with Microsoft Software and Kronos 1 year staffing/scheduling experiencePhysical Demands Link to Employee Health Physical DemandsCompensationMany factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity.
