In this role you will get to perform continuous monitoring, intrusion detection and preliminary computer security investigations to catch and stop threats.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nPerform Incident triage, to include determining initial scope, urgency, and impact\nInvestigate security alerts to determine if the alert is a false positive, a security Event, and/or a security Incident\nOpen cases and transfer to the RESPOND team per the documented workflow, while maintaining appropriate records of security monitoring and detection activities\nMonitors and analyzes Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) to identify anomalous traffic\nCreate and modify SIEM queries, dashboards, and reports\nPerform Event/Incident triage, classification, and prioritization\nRecognize potential, successful and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises\nExamine evasion mechanisms (e.g. obfuscated code) through open-source and vendor provided tools\nCommunicate intrusions and potential compromises to leadership for their situational awareness\nPrepare briefings and reports including analysis and results\nCreate and edit Work Instructions, Plans, Policies, Playbooks, and other SOC documentation\nConsolidate and conduct comprehensive analysis of threat data obtained from classified, proprietary and open source resources to provide indication and warnings of impending attacks\nTeach and mentor security apprentices in DETECT skills\nSpecial Projects – Other duties as assigned by Supervisor\nPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\nA Bachelor's Degree in computer security, computer science, or another closely related IT discipline\nAt least 5 years' experience in intrusion analysis or cyber security investigations in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) environment\nFamiliarity with CJCSM 6510.01B desired\nUS person and clearable\nWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:\nCompTIA PenTest+\nGIAC Certified Detection Analyst (GCDA)\nGIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED)\nOffensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)\n(ISC)2 Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP)\nAWS Solution Specialty – Security\nMicrosoft Azure Security Technologies\nSplunk Core Certified Power User\nMinimum Clearance Required to Start:\nNot Applicable/None\nThis position is part of our Corporate team.\nWe’re driving the future of the national security and critical infrastructure markets.
