We are seeking a passionate and student-centered Science Teacher who is committed to building meaningful relationships, creating engaging learning experiences, and inspiring curiosity through scientific discovery.Position OverviewThe ideal candidate will create a positive and structured classroom environment where all students are challenged to think critically, collaborate, and apply scientific concepts to real-world situations. Teachers at Zoneton Middle School work collaboratively through PLCs to ensure high levels of learning for every student.ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging, standards-based science instruction aligned to Kentucky Academic StandardsCreate hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote critical thinking and problem solvingBuild strong relationships with students and foster a classroom culture of respect, belonging, and high expectationsUse assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet student needsCollaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and school improvement effortsSupport school-wide expectations focused on character, leadership, and positive student behaviorCommunicate effectively with families and stakeholders to support student success Candidate must have Kentucky Science Middle Grades Certification and possess all other requirements according to BCPS. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2026-2027 school year.
