Frontend Developer

You’ll be working on two core products, using the latest tech like Material UI, React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js. While we prefer someone local to the Chicagoland area for a hybrid role, working from our offices in the West Loop, Carol Stream, or North side of Chicago on Pulaski, we’re open to offering remote for someone with the right experience, commitment, and the ability to thrive under tight project management.What You’ll DoBuild, optimize, and maintain front-end features using Material UI, React, and TypeScriptCollaborate with Back-End Developers, Junior Developers, UX, and Product Manager to iterate on the product and deliver an exceptional user experienceWork closely with our backend team working with GraphQL, Apollo, Nest, and Node.jsEnsure seamless integration between front-end and back-end, delivering a smooth user experienceFind ways to optimize resources and maintain a clean tech stackDeliver quality work in 2-week sprints, thriving in our agile environment, and helping bring usable tech to a traditionally low-tech savvy industryHave a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and best practicesBuild reusable code and components for future useJoin our team of hard-working individuals who appreciate trust and transparency in their workWhat We’re Looking ForExperience with front-end technologies like React, Material UI, TypeScript, and Next.jsComfortable working with Node.jsKnowledge of responsive design principlesTeam player who enjoys collaborating with UX and product teams to drive product improvementsYou do not need to have experience in the cleaning industry, but you must be willing to learn about itWhy Route?At Route, we recognize the value of hard work and make sure it’s balanced with a high level of trust in our team’s ability to deliver.
