The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C++ and Python, with expertise in robotics frameworks like ROS. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoy solving complex real-world challenges, we want to hear from you.\n\nJob Description\n\nDUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\nDevelop and implement real-time control software for subsea robotic systems.\nDesign, test, and optimize motion planning, state estimation, and control algorithms.\nIntegrate sensor data (IMUs, cameras, sonar, etc.) into robotic control architectures.\nUtilize ROS for software development, simulation, and deployment.\nCollaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to refine system architecture.\nImplement robust software solutions that adhere to industry safety and reliability standards.\nSupport system testing in lab environments and field deployments.\n\nQualifications\n\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, human-computer interaction, User Experience Design, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in software engineering for robotics or automation.\nProficiency in C++ and Python for real-time and embedded applications.\nExperience with ROS and middleware communication (e.g., DDS, ZeroMQ, MQTT).\nStrong background in control systems, kinematics, and motion planning.\nExperience with integrating and processing data from sensors (IMU, sonar, cameras, etc.).\nKnowledge of Linux-based development and deployment.\nExperience with simulation environments (Gazebo, Isaac-Sim, or similar).\nFamiliarity with software development best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks).\n\nAdditional Information\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to remain in a stationary position. The employee will be required to operate a computer and will consistently use other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. as necessary.\nThe employee must possess the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.\nThe employee must possess the ability to observe details at close range.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis job operates in a professional office environment and in industrial environments.
