In recent headlines, it was announced that Black Desert Resort will host a PGA Tour event (Fall 2024) and an annual LPGA Tour event (beginning Spring 2025). This will be the first PGA Tour event in Utah in over 60 years and will allow the world to get a peek at Black Desert's stunning landscape, immaculate fairways, and what will be Utah's largest resort.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Controller will be based at the Black Desert Golf Course and will work closely with the Black Desert operations and finance team to help oversee the accounting and financial operations of Black Desert Golf Course.General Responsibilities IncludePrepare and oversee the monthly/quarterly review of all Black Desert Golf Course financial projections, budgets, statements etc.Produce month over month budget-to-actuals: financial summary reports tracking cost expenditures to projected budgets, expected income, membership and sales deposits, and reconciling cash versus accrual records Build operational and staffing budgets and track financial performance for operational assetsWork with Reef's corporate finance team to maintain accurate entity charts, cap tables, and waterfalls for all entitiesCoordinate with various stakeholders including Black Desert Resort General Manager and Vice President of Finance, and 3rd party vendors to ensure financial statements are accurate and completeManage internal budget management systems to ensure financial reporting and tracking is up-to-date and accurateWork closely with the private equity team to manage liquidity and funding needsOversee timely fulfillment of invoices, allocation to appropriate budget lines, and intraparty reimbursements between projects Oversee the payment of all distributions related to Black Desert Golf Course projects in accordance with the project waterfallsAssist in the preparation of the annual investment valuations as part of the fiscal year-end auditAssist outside public accounting firm in the preparation of the tax returns for Black Desert Golf Course projectsAssist in allocating and maintaining basis allocation tablesAssist in other ad hoc projects as they ariseProfessional Characteristics And SkillsStrong organizational skills: able to manage priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to solve unstructured problems and improve/develop processesStrong communication skills: able to effectively coordinate, mentor/manage, and provide/receive feedbackStrong technological skills including familiarity with various accounting software and Excel Self starter; able to identify areas of improvement and implement solutionsHigh attention to detailQualificationsBachelor's / master's degree in finance or accounting preferred5 or more years of experience within finance or accounting; experience within hospitality, golf, or real estate development highly preferredCompany Benefits401K Plan with Company MatchGenerous Health Plan with HSA MatchFlexible Paid Time-offCell Phone Service AllowanceDiscounts at Company-Owned Resorts and Golf CoursesReef Capital Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
