In this contract role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting young learners as a lead teacher for morning and afternoon preschool sessions. Your expertise will help shape a positive and collaborative learning environment for children requiring specialized instruction and individualized support.Your main responsibilities will include guiding up to 18 students per class, with the additional support of two skilled paraprofessionals in each session. As both service provider and case manager, you will be responsible for up to 10 students, ensuring the highest standard of care and educational planning. With occupational therapy and speech-language services conveniently offered in the classroom, you will collaborate with a well-rounded team dedicated to student success.Key Qualifications:Valid Colorado Department of Education Early Childhood Special Education (CDE ECSE) license Previous experience (or strong interest) working with preschool-aged students in special education Demonstrated skill in classroom leadership and case management Commitment to individualized instruction and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and organizational abilitiesCore Responsibilities:Serve as lead teacher for two daily preschool sessions (8:45am-11:45am & 12:45pm-3:45pm) Provide direct instruction, behavioral support, and individualized education plans Manage and monitor progress for up to 10 students as their case manager Coordinate with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and paraprofessionals Maintain a welcoming, safe, and engaging classroom settingYou’ll enjoy a rate of $33-38 per hour for your commitment—plus a comprehensive healthcare benefits package to support your well-being.
