The ideal candidate will be able to run effective meetings, guide staff through their work, and stay on top of their assigned caseload.\nLocation: Tehachapi, CA & Bakersfield, CA (will require travel between the two locations)\nLanguage Requirements: Spanish & English bilingual (required)\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure the provision of quality support services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities (clients) to achieve a better quality of life.\nDevelop and implement personalized support plans with supported individuals, their family members, and their staff.\nRecruit, hire, and provide ongoing support and guidance to direct support staff (DSPs).\nIdentify staff training needs to support their professional development.\nEnsure that staff schedules are maintained at all times.\nEstablish and maintain regular weekly face-to-face contact with all clients, support staff, and families.\nSchedule and collaborate when necessary for meetings or gatherings involving staff and clients.\nSupport the expansion of services and access available to staff and clients.\nEnsure on-going health and safety standards are implemented as appropriate within the clients’ home.\nProvide back-up hands-on support, as needed.\nComplete and submit all documentation as required per company policies and procedures and funding source requirements.\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\nQualifications:\nABA / Bachelor' degree in a related Human Service field is preferred\nTwo (2) years of experience within a leadership role providing support services to people with developmental disabilities.\n6 years of experience supporting individuals with autism or other developmental or intellectual disabilities.\nFluency in Spanish and English languages required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSolid understanding of the values of inclusion and the ability to support people through a person-centered approach.\nAbility to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures\nAbility to use a smartphone and any related apps for communication and documentation.\nGood organizational skills and people skills.\nBe an effective team member both independently and collaboratively.\nAbout us\nThe culture of Jay Nolan Community Services is supportive, inclusive, and rewarding.
