Our more than 6,000 employees are proud to work at our state-of-the-art sawmills and other facilities, including: manufacturing, custom wood-framed windows, fabrication, millwork, veneer, cogeneration, trucking, forestry, and other operations.\n\nCurrently, we are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to work collaboratively with our Fabrication Shop in Anderson, CA.\n\nAbout The Position\n\nDesign structures and foundations for sawmill, kiln, cogeneration, and planermill equipment and buildings\nDevelop and improve lumber processing equipment\nPrepare plans, drawings, and calculations that will be submitted to county, city, or other governing bodies\nFacilitate the smooth and quick approval of plans\nEffectively model detailed concepts and designs using 3D modeling software\nProvide leadership and direction to fabricators, assemblers, machinists, and shop personnel\nCollaborate with company operations to understand complete application and needs\nCoordinate activities relative to the development of new equipment\nLearn and take on engineering projects with a mechanical emphasis when structural emphasis is not needed\nWork to continuously learn and improve knowledge of industry and equipment\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural\n4 years’ experience in structural with familiarity with wood, steel, masonry and concrete buildings including structural calculation, foundation design, detailing and construction administration\nCalifornia P.E. or S.E. license with ability to get reciprocity in Oregon and Washington\nDemonstrated experience with AutoCAD and willingness to learn SolidWorks\nKnowledge of the structural provisions of the California Building Code, IBC, and ASCE 7\nWorking knowledge of structural steel, welding, and foundation design\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel\nDemonstrated ability to contribute creative solutions and succeed in an innovative environment\nStrong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nWhy Join Our Team?\nBecause this is more than an invitation, it's a commitment to offer opportunities for personal and professional growth to everyone!
